It's so easy to cut the Borders from the motif stripes. Just watch!
A Right Angle Triangle is one with a square corner. Here's how to cut them with a standard 6" x 24" ruler.
• Fussy Cutting Curved Pieces:
The curved units, as in the pattern Ripples, can be planned and cut to please.
• Split Triangle Right Angle Triangles:
Use the motif stripe to make triangles that are Mainly Dark - and/or Mainly Light --- as in Spinning Stripes.
• On Point Squares from the Motif Stripes:
Make a block that looks like a triangle unit with the motif diagonally through it.
• Right Angle Triangles with the Motif along the Diagonal Seam:
Another type of Right Angle triangle unit - as we used in the Split Stars pattern
• Pentagon
Similar to a Triangle but with two short sides added
• Mitering Borders:
This easy method yields perfect results - everytime!
